Strategies for Success: How to Study for a Test

Students find it difficult to study for a test, knowing that they should study all the information over multiple days. However, they put it off or simply reread content unsure how to study effectively or efficiently. In this presentation learn proven study strategies for students to actively engage with content, beginning in the classroom and continuing at home during short, frequent study sessions. These strategies take the mystery out of studying and teach the students how to process and learn the information.

Geraldine Pesacreta is a middle school language arts teacher and curriculum coordinator for executive functioning student programs at Hill Learning Center. She has 40 years of experience, working with students, developing curriculum, and presenting at professional development workshops. She earned her Bachelor's Degree at Clarion State College in Pennsylvania and her Master's Degree at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
